Are other sports and * teams going to be squeezed out of the picture by the introduction of football? Is there any accounting process that tells us how much money is being spent on the various sports?

I ve talked to various people, and were all in the dark about how much is spent on basketball vs. softball/baseball vs. soccer vs. track vs. volleyball.

Who makes the decision to start a major sports program like football? Did the school board okay this decision, and support it?

I guess I don't trust the figure of $25,000 given as the cost to start a football team. What are the unintended and unforeseen costs, not just this year, but next year, and the year after?

Purgason says to give our “guys” a chance to play. Once again we have to ask about our “girls.” We’ve now added wrestling and are about to add football. I don't think girls will benefit from either one.

Meanwhile we are suffering from the lack of decent facilities in track, basketball.
