Tony-nominee and Rappahannock-grown actress Johanna Day is back in the limelight, this time in a play at Arena Stage in Washington, DC.
Working with the comedy-performance troupe Culture Clash (Richard Montoya, Ric Salinas and Herbert Siguenza) in Anthems: Culture Clash in the District, Johanna Day and the other ensemble members provide a glimpse of the extraordinary stories of ordinary people after the Sept. 11 attack on the Pentagon.
Written by Culture Clash’s Richard Montoya and directed by Charles Randolph-Wright, the play has been called “screamingly funny, emotionally stirring, utterly unforgettable.”
