NOTICE KINDLY TAKE NOTICE that the Town council of the Town of Washington will hold on the 11th day of September, 2002, at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Hall in Washington, Virginia a public hearing on the issuance of general obligation bonds or other bonds of the Town of Washington for the purpose of construction of a new water reservoir tank, demolition of the existing water reservoir tank, relocation of water lines and the cqnstruction of other improvements to the Town of Washington water system. The estimated maximum amount of such general obligation bonds or other bonds proposed to be issued shall not exceed $250,000.00. You are invited to attend and express your views. Bennett Town Attorney POLICY FOR PROVIDING FOR FREE OR REDUCED PRICE MEALS (DIRECT CERTIFICATION & APPLICATIONS) August 27, 2002 The Rappahannock County Schools today announced its policy for providing free or reduced price meals for children served under the National School Lunch, and/or Breakfast Programs. Each school and/or central office has a copy of the policy, which may be reviewed by any interested party. The household size and income criteria identified below will be used to determine eligibility for free or reduced price meal benefits. Children from households whose income is at or below the levels shown are eligible for free or reduced price meals. Children who are members of food stamp households or receive Virginia Temporary Assistance For Needy Families (TANF); formerly Aid to Families with Dependent Children - (AFDC) are automatically eligible for free meals. Foster children who are the legal responsibility of a welfare agency or court also may be eligible for benefits regardless of the income of the household with whom they reside. Eligibility for the foster child is based on the child’s income.
