He was a Sergeant in the 51st Fighter Squadron of the United States Army during World War II.

In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by a brother, William Hendricks.

Survivors include his wife. Peggy L Hendricks of Sperryville; a son, Collin C. Hendricks of Warrenton; one daughter. Candice J. St. Onge of Warrenton: a brother, Joseph Hendricks of Romney, W’.Va.; one sister. Josalee Cudd of Greenville, S.C.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday. Sept. 4 at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton by the Rev. J. Richard Winter. Burial was in Beahms Chapel Cemetery in Luray.
