Ron Frazier, Board of Supervisor's Representative, said that he was "in favor of what the Lams were trying to do, but the greatest concern is the ramifications.” He suggested that the Commission take additional time and investigate issues including the Amissville boundary and the option of a family apartment in lieu of the rezoning, and he added that he was not in favor because it could be considered spot zoning. After further discussion, however, Mr. Frazier said that he thought that the application should be given consideration, and if the precedent is too great we should vote for denial, but if not we should recommend approval.
The Commission further discussed the application and its precedent-setting nature, but in the end voted four-totwo (Mr. Junk and Dr. Krebser voting nay) in favor of Mr. Henry's motion to recommend its approval to the Board of Supervisors. That body will hear the application at their evening session (7 p.m.) on Oct. 7.

Plan-open forum
The Commission agreed to begin a series of open forums on the review of the County's Comprehensive Plan.
The first such meetings are scheduled for Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. at the Chester Gap Volunteer Fire and Rescue Hall and Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. at the Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Hall.
