There was much discussion, if not argument, from the audience, and a few residents expressed their displeasure with the walkway in lieu of a conventional sidewalk, among other issues, though the clear consensus was to continue the project—especially in light of the potential for loss of VDOT secondary road funds if any significant delay were imposed.
