at 6 p.m. the “Singing and Pickin Party” will take place at the Salem Fire Hall on Route 522. If you play an instrument or sing you are invited to participate.
Birthday wishes go out to J. T. Dodson, who celebrated his day yesterday; to nephew Joseph Peregory who gains another year today, Thursday; also, Terry Cubbage celebrates today and Brenda Cubbage on Sunday.
Several important days are to be observed this week; namely there was a “National Food Service Workers Day on Tuesday and a “Good Neighbor Day" yesterday, Wednesday.
Miss Kendra Hitt was honored with a party given by her family and friends at her home last Saturday, in observance of her 16th birthday.
The Salem Firehouse on Route 522 will be the setting for a dinner on Saturday, Nov. 2 for the 4-H Alumni of Culpeper County. This will be their annual achievement flight. A reminder to all 4H'ers to join in and celebrate the success of another year and this will be the 100th anniversary of 4-H. For information call 825y2D1922.
