It was a warm and sunny day for the band’s debut at Rappahannock County School's first home football game on Sept. 11. The band gave a short pre-game performance with the flags before the players were introduced, and then performed the National Anthem.
During half-time, the band played several patriotic selections for those in attendance. Although our team lost the game (by only a marginal score), everyone seemed very enthusiastic about both the game and the band’s performance. Many helping hands were there to assist with the Band’s set-up, but we would like to especially thank Mr. Mello, Mr. Schlosser and his wonderful class for all of their support. It made a rather hectic day run much more smoothly!
The football team will be playing two more home games on Sept. 25 and Oct. 2 in which the band will also give a pre-game performance. Hope to see you there!
