wide range of techniques and materials. Her subjects include landscapes, delicate wildflowers, whimsical creatures and large colorful murals of towns, myths and journeys.
Barbara Heile Sherwood, who also lives, works and paints in Rappahannock, works with color and light as they affect the land. Her recent glowing landscapes concentrate on her experience on the Eastern Shore, and use water, land and sky as inspiration.
Front Royal artist, Chris Stephens is well received in the region for his dramatic and color-saturated landscapes. He will exhibit both paintings and small, carved still-life sculptures. As the artist scates, “...light has always been most important to my inquiry into the nature of being.”
