Position in the Loudoun County Department of Planning Community Planning Division. This position develops elements of the County’s Comprehensive Plan, evaluates plan amendment proposals, reviews land development applications for conformance, and prepares and coordinates special studies. Requires thorough knowledge of principles and practices of urban planning and related ordinances and regulations; strong communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to prepare reports and presentation material using MS Office Suite (Work, Excel, Powerpoint, and Access). Arcinfo/ Arcview strongly desired. Requires considerable land planning experience and ability to manage multiple assignments and maintain effective relationships with elected appointed officials. Attendance at night meetings expected. Requires Bachelor’s degree in planning or related field, two years planning experience and six months project management experience.
