U-10 Girls
The U-10 Killer Bees, sponsored by Sunnyside Farms, swarmed over Orange 6-1 last Saturday, on the hard, dusty fields of Orange Booster Park. With the skydivers silently floating overhead, Rapp goalies Caitlin Humbles and Annie Bennet, with excellent defensive support from Maria Lee and Brittany Stephens, shut down the Orange offense.
The Killer Bees defended, dribbled, passed and supported well on both ends of the field, and almost every Killer Bee had one or more shots on goal. Britani Dodson, Joslyn Smith, Caitlin Humbles, and Christine Pankow all scored with many other girls just missing.
These Killer Bees proved to be “worker bees” as each girl selflessly took their turn with defensive and midfield support duties. This was a great example of a team victory.
Next week they play Culpeper at the home hive. Good luck girls!
