Cross country
The cross country team defeated Luray 20-37 but dropped a meet to Madison County 15-47. Ethan Berry and John Letsen finished one-two against Luray with times of 20:08 and 21:05 respectfully. Kevin Martin was fourth, Jonathan Robinson fifth and Forrest Marquisse eighth as the Panthers ran past the Bulldogs.
Coach Randy Fields said the running of Kevin Martin was the key to the Luray win. Kevin passed several runners in the late stages of the race to work his way to the front. In the girls’ race Elaine Smith was third with a time of 30:47, Ellie Dodd-Henze
