her little sister, Allison, who at age nine, placed first runner-up in the “Little Miss” category. ^
When not studying, Jammie enjoys doing her friends’ hair, playing softball for Moore Golf in Culpeper or Stewart Field in Amissville, and fishing. Every August, she and her family vacation at Wilmington Beach in North Carolina and she goes surf fishing (in the ocean) with her father, William Magee of Magee Construction.
Jammie’s mother, Monica Magee of Amissville, said it was her sisterin-law who persuaded her to enter Jammie into the pageant as a “Tiny Tbt.” (In 1987, the “Baby Miss” category had not yet been introduced.) Mrs. Magee said she holds her breath each time Jammie is on stage and her heart never fails to jump when she hears her daughter’s name announced.
