Stakes-winning hurdle star for Kinross Farm, P.C. Plod made his 2003 debut Saturday, rating off the early pace with rider Chris Read and winning as much the best by three lengths in the day’s fastest time for the two miles at 3:40 3/5.
P.C. Plod has won more than $200,000 for his Middleburg connections. Trainer Neil Morris said the near-black gelding’s next engagement may be the April 19, $50,000 Temple Gwathmey, grade III, at Glenwood Park.
