Associates, CRH created a round-the-clock team of hospitalists who practice exclusively within the hospital. Donald Bley MD, David Schenck MD and Rending Xu MD joined Hospitalist Medical Director Clara Eden MD. The hospitalists stayed busy and their availability has been appreciated.
We secured an additional anesthesiologist, Michael Ross MD, who provides additional coverage in the operating room for our busy surgical services. He has also expanded the CRH pain management team to include a pain clinic here at the hospital.
When David Schenck MD moved from the Wilderness Medical Center in Locust Grove to become a hospitalist, Internist John Bush MD was welcomed to the Wilderness practice. We were also delighted to welcome his wife, Bethanne Bush MD, to practice full-time gastroenterology at the hospital.
Radiology added two new radiologists to expand the Medical Imaging team: Marie Pace MD and Pamela Phillips MD.
The Departments of Cardiology and Oncology were active with plans and designs for new centers, while needed funds were being raised through the hospital Foundations capital campaign. The hospital also purchased equipment for new laparoscopic procedures.
