Concrete, traveled to Orange and played a well balanced and skilled team. Despite being outnumbered, the Rapp team played hard. The final saw Rapp fall to Orange. However, Coach Tbny felt his team played with heart for their first outing and sees an enthusiastic team ready to face its next opponent.
U-12 Girls
The U12 girls, the Blue Storm, coached by Mark Wallace and sponsored by Ivy Cliff Farms, ran into rough weather, losing 3-0 to Fluvanna. The game was played in Orange and the sun was actually shining hot and bright after morning drizzle. Fluvanna struck fast for a score in the first minute. It looked bad but Rappahannock sucked it up and made a game of it. The rest of the half was a seesaw battle and the half ended 1-0. Fluvanna opened up the second half with two quick scores before Rapp stiffened once again.
All the girls showed a lot of grit, playing hard, fighting for the ball and never giving up.
