Extended hours
The Rappahannock County Commissioner of Revenue Office has extended office hours now through the tax season. \
The office will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through May 1 to assist with income tax forms, persona! property forms and Tax Relief for the Elderly. For additional information call 675-5370.
Rep. Cantor's office to visit
Congressman Eric Cantor’s Community Outreach Director, Barbara Taylor, will speak with constituents on Thursday, April 10 at the Rappahannock County Library from 10 to 11 a.m. Residents who need assistance, have problems of a federal nature, or want to express opinions are welcome.
Protecting county waters
RappFLOW will present a program on air and water quality in the Shenandoah National Park and how it affects Rappahannock County on April 12 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Old Sperryville Schoolhouse (formerly Faith Mountain Company) in Sperryville. Much of the water that flows in Rappahannock County streams comes from headwaters in the Shenandoah National Park. Join other citizens at this first workshop sponsored by RLEP, Piedmont Environmental Council, Sperryville Gateway Project, Shenandoah National Park and others.
Ki Theatre's production
The Ki Community Arts Theatre will present Dylan Thomas' “Under Milk Wood" on Saturday, April 12 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, April 13 at 4 p.m. It is a rowdy, earthy play about the outrageous, loving, sly, gossipy inhabitants of a Welsh fishing town as they go about their lives during a single spring day. Some 16 Rappahannock friends and neighbors transform themselves into over 50 Welsh villagers. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students. Reservations may be made by calling the theatre at 6751616.
Jazz at The Theatre
The last jazz concert of the spring season will be held at The Theatre on Gay Street in Little Washington on Saturday, April 12 at 8 p.m. It will feature Howard Alden, guitar, Chuck Redd, vibes and drums and Steve Novosel, bass.
