people provided more than 32,000 hours of service to Culpeper Regional Hospital. Our combined efforts also resulted in our donation to the hospital of $209,353. Among the other highlights of our yean • Our$1 million pledge to the hospital's capital campaign. • Our shining star, the Thrift Shop (in Meadowbrook Shopping Center) reported record-breaking sales: $248,000+. • Our Gift Shop was constructed in a new location on the first floor, and in its first full year, reported the highest sales figures ever. • The Coffee Shop was remodeled and reopened much to everyone's delight • The Auxiliary gave scholarships to 13 students from Culpeper, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock to help them in pursuing medical careers. • The Lights of Love event included a new theme of red, white and blue lights in December 2001, to honor emergency services everywhere. • The Junior Auxiliary included 31 girls and boys for the summer, some of them continuing year round. From knitting baby caps for newborns in the Family Birth Center to making sock dolls for our youngest patients in the ER and Inpatient Wing, raising funds, and providing service, the Auxiliary serves Culpeper Regional Hospital, its patients and visitors, in so many ways. Each volunteer appreciates the opportunity to be of service.
