the competition was organized by the officers of Old Rag Mountain Pony Club (soon to be known as Old Dominion Hounds Pony Club) led by District Commissioner Abigail Gille, CoDistrict Commissioner Sarah Kuehn, Secretary Dawn Smith, and Treasurer Lesley Arnold.
These four women devoted their talents and an enormous number of hours organizing this marathon event, ably assisted by over 150 horse-loving volunteers, many of whom reside here in the county. At the conclusion, there were many tired but happy faces seen leaving the Wakefield campus.
Throughout the competition, participants not only collected points for their team’s benefit, but also accumulated individual scores and now they anxiously await word on who will have the honor of representing Virginia in the national competition.
