East Hardy scored a touchdown to tie the game at seven, but the Cougars had no answer for the Panthers' two second quarter scores, another touchdown for Compton and an interception returned for a touchdown by Ethan Berry.
Pullin said East Hardy ran a wide receiver screen one too many times and Berry timed his move perfectly.
"He caught the ball in stride and took it the other way for a 35-yard touchdown,” Pulln said.
Rappahannock County led. 21-7, at the half.
In the third quarter, Compton and sophomore Eric Montague each added another touchdown.
