Strand said Clarke County, the top-ranked Group A boys cross countiy team in the state, is the obvious favorite for the district meet.
“We have a pretty good chance,” Strand said. “When we’re healthy, we should be able to beat Strasburg and they defeated Manassas Park handily, so it looks hopeful.”
The Panthers need to finish in the top four at the district meet to advance to regionals.
