The next training class for the new Hospice of the Rapidan volunteers begins Nov. 2 in the Hospice s Culpeper offices. RCPS auction

Rappahannock County Public Schools will host an auction Thursday, Nov. 4 at 5:30 p.m. at the Bus Garage. Items include cars, computers, radios, televisions, air conditioners, and VCR’s.

Community visit

Congressman Eric Cantor's representative Barbara Taylor will visit the Rappahannock library on Thursday, Nov. 4 from 10-11 a.m. to speak with constituents who need assistance or have problems of a federal nature. Life Stories Workshop

Taking place in Washington on Nov. 5-7 is the first of the 2004/2005 workshops. This three-day introductory course is for people of all backgrounds, ages and writing experience. Study help available

A program at Trinity Episcopal Church offers free tutoring in reading, spelling, history, composition, science, math (all levels), foreign language and study skills. Help is available Thursdays from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall. Students must bring their work and texts with them.
