“Our trucks can hold 15 cubic yards of junk,” he explained, “and I tell people that a washing machine is a good visual image of a cubic yard. We have nice, shiny trucks, uniformed drivers and on-time service. We’re the FedEx of junk.”
If they are willing to pick up almost anything, what, for example would people be surprised to hear they could take away?
“Hot tubs,” he said quickly. “People think they want them, and then they don’t use them.
“Then we picked up some Colonial stocks, where you put your neck and feet in there. It looked antique, but we didn’t ask too many questions. The assumption was that it was a reproduction.
“We also are able to pick up backyard sheds and that type of thing. We encourage people to donate before they call us.”
