Responsibilites include providing service and maintenance on fire equipment, performing routine preventive maintenance inspections, diagnosing mechanical problems and performing necessary repairs using tools and equipment. Previous experience with fire apparatus repair helpful but not required. Will train right person. Qualifications include certification from a diesel mechanic trade school or 2-5 years of related experience, ability to pass ASE certification tests and obtain CDL.
