The demand for Kid Pan Alley is “huge” in communities across the country, according to Reisler, and the project is currently being organized in a number of other cities. It is Reisler’s hope that eventually a few other artists can be trained to lead schoolchildren through the amazing creative journey that is Kid Pan Alley and thus fulfill the burgeoning demand.
“I have seen an enormous difference in the musical education of children over time,” he states. “And I’ve seen the vibrant imaginations of very young children virtually snuffed out as they get older if they have not experienced a good arts education.”
