Joyce Smoot, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Humphrey &moot, had a hard time going uphill at Skyline Ski Area Monday. The Smoots live at the Ski Area where Mr. Smoot is employed. The Ski Area had its first natural snow of the season which was a great help to the skiing industry since it has been impossible to make and hold artificial snow with the spring like weather which has predominated most of the winter.
The Exhibit of Religious Art at the Rappahannock Library was visited last week by the art class of Rappahannock County High School under the direction of Mrs. Christine Johnson who expressed admiration for the excellence of the work of the young people. This collection of art by students of high schools in the Washington area consists of the best selections submitted in the past three years.
