Construction and facility improvements are also in the plans for 2005. The Proposed Facility Improvement Project includes a new sloping roof for the elementary school. Chappell is confident that this will be a significant improvement given repair costs in the past.
An auxiliary gym is also in the proposed budget. The gym will be located behind the elementary school but will continue to be utilized by the high school along with the middle school grades. It is proposed as a regulation size gym with 250 spectator seats.
While there is no construction schedule in place it may be completed by early 2006. The new gym will provide additional space for teams to practice.
