In the Christmas Decorations Contest, sponsored by the Amissville Ruritan Club, the first place winners were James and Bertha Jacobs on Route 642. Second place winner was Frank Gioia on U S. 211 and third place winner was Raymqnd and Elsie Gheen on Route 611. Roger Cordani headed the judging team.
There were many prize-winners at Hackley’s Store. Doris Bywaters won an old ham, Evelyn Burroughs won the oysters, Viola Haines won the BBQ, Barbara Elliot won the Christmas bear and Faye Smoot won the Hackley’s T-shirt. Janet Makela of Hackley’s said they were so glad that all the winners were regular customers of the store.
