A murder occurred a little over a year ago in Rappahannock County.

A casual night of drinking beer with a friend, working on a kerosene heater and the friend trying to make a bologna and cheese sandwich ended with a 911 call two days later.

The incident occurred in Marshall's home located on Zachary Taylor Highway in Huntly on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2003

Rappahannock County Sheriffs Department Major Chris Wiliams responded to the call. He found Roy Frazier dead in his friend's home.

According to police reports, Joel Racine "Puddin" Marshall, 60, of Huntly, said that he and Frazier had a heated argument on Dec. 14 around midnight and he pulled a .25-caliber pistol, shooting Frazier in the head.
