Rappahannock News Staff Writer Most have heard it said that it is quality that counts, not quantity. For six Washington farmers, quality is indeed paramount, as they have been recognized by the American Angus Association of St. Joseph, Mo., for raising top quality Angus bulls. While there are over 300 livestock farms in Rappahannock County, fewer than 10 raise purebred Angus cattle.

• The Rappahannock County Democratic Committee will meet at 7:15 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 1 at the Rappahannock County Library. Refreshments and conversation will take place from 7:15 until 7:45 when the general meeting will begin.
