The first order of business for Charles Strittmatter, newly elected chairman of the Rappahannock County Planning Commission, was a downzoning request for the former Aileen plant property.
The Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors submitted an application to the Planning Commission, requesting that the property — which had been zoned industrial — be downzoned.
In its application, the Board requested that 14.976 acres of the property be zoned conunercial/ general, and 18.0537 acres be zoned
