According to court documents, “the defendant may drive through Rappahannock County to another destination as long as he is following the most direct route and does not stop.”
Smith is not to initiate any contact with the victim or her parents or sister, nor go to any place he knows they will be. He is not to have contact with his wife except through a third party, unless authorized by her in writing, according to court documents. Other conditions of his release include no loitering within 100 feet of any school, and no unsupervised contact with any minor female.
Smith is currently at the Rappahannock County jail but, according to Major Chris Williams of the Sheriffs’ Office, it hasn’t been determined if he will stay there or be incarcerated in Richmond.
