The first meeting of the Rappahannock Relay for Life team captains will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, February 10, at the Washington Baptist Church.
Anyone can do it.
Attendance is encouraged and welcomed for those community members who are thinking about participating as a team captain in the relay.
This year a special effort is being made to encourage new teams to join the fun and assist in fund raising.
Learning how to become a team captain isn’t difficult and relay organizers are hopeful that new faces will turn out.
The overall plans and preparations for the upcoming relay will be discussed at this kick-off meeting. Team packages and information to help your team get started will be available. Refreshments will be served and door prizes will be awarded.
The Relay for Life is the annual fund raising event of the Rappahannock County unit of the American Cancer Society. The relay will take place at the Rappahannock County Elementary School on the weekend of May 21-22.
