The Lady Panthers won their last two games as they look to round out the district games undefeated.
The girl’s varsity volleyball team won 3-0 in last Thursday’s game against the Madison Mountaineers. The match scores were 25-22, 2518, and 25-21. Although the first match was close, the team was able to group together for a quick victory. “At first, we didn’t come out to the court fired up and ready for the game, said Varsity Volleyball Coach Jared Nieters.
During Tuesday’s game against the Clarke County Eagles, the girls were on top of their game, as they won once again at 3-0 with respectable match scores of 25-11, 25-18, and 25-19.
Elena Kritter remains the leader on kills.
“She’s on track to have the highest season total of my coaching career,” Nieters said proudly. Elvira Yanez is nearing a personal record as she is on pace to have more assists than last season. Nieters also pointed out that Emily Carter continues to perform well.
“She has been really, really consistent,” said Nieters. “She has only missed three serves in something like 250 serves.”
