The Saturday night Spaghetti Dinner put together and served by Michelle Jenkins and her trusty crew of volunteers at the Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary was wonderful. The atmosphere was like walking into a friend’s home and sitting at the kitchen table. Just like home, there was plenty for seconds. Spaghetti sauce, meat and vegetarian, garlic bread, salad with many dressings to choose from and home made cookies were the evening fare.
Because I am the newest member of the Auxiliary, no one knew me from a hole in the wall. Yet I was greeted with smiles and warm welcomes. Maybe that was because I was the salad lady or maybe because everyone is just as nice as they can be!
