ty,” stressed Reisler who mentioned the numerous organizations that help sponsor Kid Pan Alley among them Ki Theatre, the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community and the schools themselves.
With partial funding from the Virginia Commission for the Arts and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Reisler is looking to raise some matching funds but is confident that it won’t be a problem.
He recently learned that the county’s educational foundation, Headwaters, will be helping with the program.
“We are going to support his 2 week residency with a grant, the amount of which is yet to be determined. Headwaters is very pleased to be able to support programs such as this which further our mission of fostering educational excellence in Rappahannock County,” said executive director Cole Johnson.
While many of his residency programs are held throughout the country, it is Reisler’s intent to bring them back annually to the students of Rappahannock County. “This is where it all began,” stated Reisler who was quick to admit that his greatest joy is “working with the kids.”
“I really enjoy what I’m doing.”
