Friday at the Library Series
On Friday, November 9 at 8 p. m., Richard Lykes, well-known photographer and freelance journalist, will present a slide show featuring images of the people of Rappahannock that he has photographed over the last several years. Mr. Lykes' photographs chronicle the cultural, social and civic activities of the county's diverse and talented dtizens-"young and old and in-between." The event is free and open to the public and held at the Rappahannock County Public Library.

Holiday Bazaar
The Amissville United Methodist Women wi hold their 27th annual Holiday Bazaar on Saturday Nov. 10 from 9 am. until 2 p.m. in the church social haH. The bazaar features handcrafted items for Christmas, family and home, an extensive array of baked goods, jellies and preserves, fresh Georgia pecans, and top quality white elephant items. A quilt will be available by silent bid. Homemade soups, chili, hot dogs and sandwiches will be offered for lunch. Amissville United Methodist Church is located on Route 211 in Amissville.

Annual Auction
Everyone is invited to CCLC's Twelfth Annual Fall Auction and Party on Saturday Nov. 10, at the Washington School on Mt Salem Ave. Doors open at 5:30 p. m. for guests to browse and bid on silent auction offerings, purchase priced items from The Sursum Corda Shoppe, and enjoy a gourmet feast catered by the RCHS Culinary Arts class. The $25 entry tee entitles guests to food, libations, and fun, as the Washington School brims with unique treasures (antiques, art, vacation packages, rugs, silver, collectibles) up for bid during a Live Auction at 7. Proceeds benefit CCLC's Programs for the preschool and school-age children of Rappahannock. No invitation necessary. Everyone welcome!
