and Mark Kidwell slowed the Rams’ march, and a fumble returned the ball to Rappahannock’s possession. A seven-yard run by Tim Fitzmorris brought the Panthers within close reach of a first down, but the Rams kept the ball at the line of scrimmage and Rappahannock had to punt.

Nearing the end of the first half, a fumble recovery by Fitzmorris set the stage for a 25-yard pass to Dean Hogan. Two penalties killed the Panthers’ momentum and the first half ended without Rappahannock on the scoreboard.

The second half began with the Rams tearing down the field with a 20-yard run and a 20-yard pass. Strasburg then ran the ball to Rappahannock’s 10-yard line. A huge sack by the Panthers’ Ramirez pushed the Rams back 10 yards, and they settled for a field goal.
