I recently accompanied my brother, Major Chris Williams of the Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Department, during an afternoon of campaigning. The time we shared together, even though only a few hours, was incredibly memorable. I was along to support him as well as to take advantage of the opportunity to hopefully see some of my old friends that I had not seen for many years.
One of our first stops was the elementary school to leave some papers that my nephew, Andrew, needed. As we entered the office for our visitor’s pass, my mind was flooded by so many memories of my childhood. We proceeded to walk the halls looking for Andrew’s classroom while reminiscing of years we spent in this very place. We found ourselves recognizing classrooms and remembering the teachers that were ii each room, remembering book fairs held in the library, and recess time walking up tha huge hill to the ball fields and playground.
