Among neighboring counties,. Rappahannock has the highest percentage of residents without health insurance, according to recently released 2006 census data, and the county is significantly higher than the state average as well.
The U.S. Census -Bureau’s estimates, released last week, indicate that 15.5 percent of Virginians don't have health insurance; in Rappahannock, that percentage is 24.3 percent.
