Out of the Attic
This photograph was taken around 1915 in Sperryville at the E. M. Schwartz Store. Mrs. Schwartz and daughter. Jane are standing on the upper porch and daughter "Billy" is looking through the banister close beside her mother. Postcards with the photograph were available at Schwartz's Store along with general merchandise and a little of everything that county people needed. Today, the building along with an addition and minus the porches makes up the Sperryville Corner Store. The Schwartz's daughters, Jane and "Billy" reside near Harrisonburg.
