Washington, VA 22747 - VPDES Permit VA0064181 NAME AND ADDRESS OF FACILITY Rappahannock County High School, 6 Schoolhouse Road. Washington. VA 22747 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Rappahannock County School Board has applied for a reissuance of a permit for the public Rappahannock County High School Sewage Treatment Plant The applicant proposes to release treated sewage wastewaters from a public elementary school at a rate of 0.005 million gallons per day into a water body Siudge from the treatment process will be transferred to another sewage treatment plant for treatment The facility proposes to release the treated sewage into an unnamed tributary of the Covington River in Rappahannock County, which is located in the Upper Thornton River watershed A watershed is the land area drained by a river and its incoming streams The permit will limit the following pollutants to amounts that protect water quality Influent BOD5, Effluent BOD5.
