Courthouse Buildings Sewer Connections
Rappahannock County
The Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors is soliciting bids from persons or firms to provide all excavation, grading, and connection of piping from its existing buildings to the new gravity sewer line to be installed on the Courthouse grounds in the Town of Washington. The work includes the provision of all supervision, labor, and materials to accomplish the site preparation, grading, reseeding, and connections of the existing buildings sewer outfalls to the 8" line to be installed by others as outlined in specifications prepared by WW & Associates, Inc., dated June 10, 2009. Project must make provision for the continued use at this time of the existing drainfields serving the buildings, but allowing for a “cutover" at a later date. Contracted price should include pricing for switching outflow from buildings from the existing drainfield to newly installed sewer line connections to the mam at a later date, but not later than March 1, 2010. Project is to commence as soon as possible after a Notice to Proceed, which shall be issued upon award, but is expected to commence on or about August 24, 2009. Drawings are available for review at the County Administration office.
All bids must be received at the County Administrator's Office, 290 Gay Street, P.O. Box 519, Washington, VA 22747 by Friday, August 21, 2009, at 3:00pm, at which time they will be opened and publicly read.
The terms of Competitive Sealed Bidding as set forth in the Virginia Public Procurement Act shall apply. The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
