How to peel and

seed a tomato

Cut a half-inch “X“ in the bottom of each tomato and drop into boiling water one at a time. After about 30 seconds, the skin will start to slip off Using a slotted spoon, remove the tomato from the boiling water and immediately plunge into ice water until cool enough to handle, about 1 minute. (Do not leave the tomato in the water any longer or it will get water logged.' Using the slotted spoon, remove cool tomato to colander to drain. Repeat with remaining tomatoes. Use a paring knife to remove the cores and the skins (Work over a bow! to catch the juice. > Discard cores and skins.
