“We heard a lot of stuff here tonight and it boiled down to a comprehensive plan,” said Planner Pete Luke. ‘‘In the past, the county has approved subdivisions wherever they came in, as long as ordinance requirements were met,” he said. “Over 13,000 acres of farm land have been lost and nobody raised a word...no one came to the Supervisors and said you’d better not approve that subdivision.. Farmland has been going out of existence and we don’t have control over it.”
