Fannons

Praised

Editor:

A lot of our letters to the paper either defend something or complain about some condition. This one is different: I want to brag about some folks. I mean Mr. and Mrs. Bill Fannon, who are putting on a benefit polo game on Sunday. The proceeds are for the lab equipment at Wakefield School and for grading a track at Rappahannock High.

The Wakefield part explains itself; the tract need calls for a few words. Here the Fannons are helping some enthusiastic youngsters to help themselves in raising money for a much-needed track. These young folks have various plans for this summer and fall where they will perform services or sell produce to raise funds. The Fannons are doing their part. I hope all others will join in.

AN OLD NATIVE

Shocking

A recent visit to our courthouse shocked me to discover that only one rest room is available. Is pur county so poor that we can only afford one rest room for both sexes?

A Concerned Citizen
