Forward

Erwin Elston Forward of Washington died June 7, 1977, at Arlington Hospital in Arlington.

Mr. Forward was born in Battle Creek, Mich. May 8, 1897 and lived in Michigan for 25 years. For the past five years, he had lived in Washington, Va., where his son, M. Hal Forward, resides.

He is survived by his wife, Bessie Irene; two sons, M. Hal of Washington and Irwin D. of Three Rivers, Mich.; three brothers, Richard D. of Parchment, Mich., J. Milton of Utica, New York, and W. Morton of Battle Creek, Mich.; six grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services were held June 9, at graveside in the Washington Masonic Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Jennings Hobson III. Arrangements were by Clore Funeral Home. The family requests that any expressions of sympathy be made in the form of contributions to either the Cancer Society or the Washington Volunteer Fire Department.
