Tobin

Matthew C. Tobin of Culpeper died June 3, 1977. He was 94.

His wife was the late Margaret R. Tobin.

A funeral service was held at the Pearson’s Funeral Home in Falls Church and burial was in Stonewall Memorial Gardens, Manassas, conducted by J. K. Hughes, pastor of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Culpeper.

Surviving Mr. Tobin are two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy G. Davis of Sperryville and Mrs. Kathryn Garrett of Laurel, Md.; two sons, Franklin M. Tobin of Takoma Park, Md. and Calvin A. Tobin of Mt. Jackson; 32 grandchildren and S3 great-grandchildren. Grandsons, Wesley Tobin, Winston Tobin, Charles "Buddy” Tobin, Marvin Tobin, Edward Tobin and Henry Holloman, served as pallbearers.

Burke

Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Gid Brown Bible Baptist Church for John Isaac Burke of Washington with burial following in the Washington Masonic Cemetery. Mr. Burke, 45, died June 12, 1977 at his home.

He is survived by his parents, Orie M., and Daisy M. Horton Burke of Washington; his wife, the former Fannie M. Frazier; three sisters, Mrs. Lewis Corbin of Nokesville, Mrs. Edward Pitcher of Jessup, Md., and Mrs. James Fillian of Gaithersburg, Md.
