Several arrests have been made recently for ABC violations in the transportation of and sale of illegal alcoholic beverages.
Benjamin Franklin Gordon of Etlan, along with two juveniles, has been arrested on two counts of transporting untaxed alcoholic beverages; one on September 28 and another November 17.
Robert Lee Jenkins of Sperryville has been charged with the sale of untaxed alcoholic beverages on September 28 and with the sale of untaxed alcoholic beverages with a firearm in his possession on November 17. The latter is a felony.
These arrests follow intensive investigation which began as early as February involving investigators from the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board, state and federal ABC personnel, Virginia State Police
