“Gardening for Food and Fun,” the 1977 Yearbook of Agriculture, has just been published by the Department of Agriculture. The yearbook is a practical guide for all—beginners and professionals, old and young—containing 400 pages of gardening text plus 32 pages of color pictures.
The yearbook was compiled" by specialists from a wide variety of fields and covers all major vegetable and fruit groups. It is divided into four sections: “Introduction to Gardening,’’ “Home Garden Vegetables,” “Fruits and Nuts,” and “Home Food Preservation.” The last
